In 2016, Powertrade Energy and Shengli Oilfield Shengli Power Machinery Group, manufacturer of Shengdong gas engines, formed a strategic partnership wherein Powertrade Energy would become the sole distributor of Shengdong gas engines. In addition, Powertrade Energy would also become the only authorized local manufacturer and service provider of Shengdong gas generators in Malaysia.

This alliance means peace of mind for end users as Powertrade Energy would undertake local support of Shendong gas gensets in Malaysia, including parts and service.

SHENGLI OILFIELD SHENGLI POWER MACHINERY GROUP

Founded in 1978, Shengli Power Machinery Group is the first internal combustion gas engine manufacturer in China. Until today, Shengli Power Machinery Group remains one of the largest manufacturers in China.

With more than 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience in the industry, Shengdong gas generator is a name that you can rely on.

To date, there are more than 50 units of Shengdong gas generators installed and commissioned in Malaysia, having penetrated the market for only 8 years.

All units listed above have an output of 415V running at 50 Hz, fitted with 24VDC starter motor, electronic governing system and automatic voltage regulator.

WHO IS SEDA?

The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) of Malaysia is a statutory body formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011 to govern over renewable energy related projects and issues, in particular, feed-in tariff.

Feed-in Tariff (FiT) system is in place to guarantee distribution licensees such as Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) purchase electricity fed to the grid through approved renewable means by the Feed-in approval holders. In essence, SEDA determines the FiT rates and Quota each year.

Recognized Local Manufacturer by SEDA

On June 20, 2017, Powertrade Energy was awarded recognition by Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia as a local manufacturer of gas engines. This major breakthrough also means that purchasing a gas generator from Powertrade Energy for Feed-in Tariff (FiT) purpose would yield an additional RM 0.05 per kWh.
